When you vacation in the fabled Boquete region of Panama you will find that this is a coffee lover’s heaven on earth.

Boquete is a coffee lover’s heaven on earth.
Boquete’s majestic mountains are actually the remains of an ancient volcano that left the entire region buried under a thick layer of volcanic ash millions of years ago. Eons of wind and rain have ground this ash into a rich volcanic soil that is perfect for growing coffee.
The weather in Boquete is widely held to be among the best on earth. The town is located in a valley surrounded by mountains. These massive sentinels provide protection against high winds as the region’s 3,000 foot altitude provides year round air conditioning. Add more than 100 inches of rain annually, and you have an agricultural wealth rivaled only by the volcanic slopes in Hawaii’s Kona region.
One of the better known coffee plantations in the area is the Kotowa plantation and mill. You can still see the original mill built nearly a hundred years ago and share in stories of what life was like in the first years of Panama’s independence.
Most tours to the Kotowa facility include excursions through some of the area’s rainforest wonders as well as various indigenous villages. Some tours encourage hiking, others provide motorized comfort every step of the way. No matter what option you choose, you can bet that your day will include a bottomless cup of world famous Boquete region coffee.
When planning your vacation in Panama it is always a good idea to have a chat with a local travel professional. Why come this far without making the best of your time and treasure?

While in Panama why not look into some of the many ways you can fund your retirement here while vacationing in your younger years. Panama offers a wide range of investment, tax, banking, estate management, and real estate options designed to help you develop an off shore nest egg and a paid for retirement home while you enjoy years of vacation fun.
Did you know that when you retire to Panama, you will no longer have to pay taxes on income you earn outside of the country? If you buy your retirement home with the right guidance, you may not have to pay property taxes for up to 20 years either.
How would you like a low cost vacation home that pays for itself? When you buy property in one of Panama’s high demand “Condo-Tels” revenue from rentals while you are away can sometimes pay for your unit. By the time you reach retirement, your paid for resort condo will be waiting.
It is also important to remember that Panamanian law allows you to invest and bank in secrecy. The mechanisms that make this financial privacy possible have also produced one of the best estate management jurisdictions on earth.
If you are thinking about vacationing or retiring in Panama, or if you will be visiting to develop an asset protection, business, banking, or investment strategy… make sure to begin by building a strong relationship with a local attorney. There are many third party sources able to help you select the best one for your needs. These groups provide unbiased reviews of providers in Panama’s professional community speeding you to a successful pairing.
